Carl Jung and other researchers of the "self' say that we each have aspects of ourselves hidden deeply in our unconscious. In a life fully lived, we gradually bring more of those aspects to the surface, that is, into consciousness. I recall that even in grade school I felt an embryonic interest in visual art, but I never pursued it. Instead, I gravitated into engineering and then into business. ...My only brush with visual art has been the taking of photographs over the years, most assuredly as an amateur. Some of the pictures that are special to me are in this gallery. Perhaps one or more will strike your fancy-brighten your day. ...I have never sure whether I enjoy the selected pictures because they have intrinsic value on their own, or because of the memories of the actual scenes the pictures evoke in the photographer. In most cases, they do carry me back to the place and time. - Enjoy. |
